Music!
Okay, so I was watching an episode of Shukudai-kun that I hadn't seen yet (it recently got subbed). The episode was awesome. SAKUMOTO! Hehe. But that's not why I'm posting now, strangely enough.

At the end they played a song when the credits were rolling. I think I've heard them play it before on other Arashi shows, but this time I actually listened to it. The song they played was called "時の過ぎゆくままに" (Toki no Sugiyuku Mamani), at the time I didn't know the name of the song, but I knew I recognized it from somewhere. And then I did some digging around - because I knew where I'd heard it from. (I know there probably was an easier way to do this, but at the time this was the most straight forward.) I remembered some of the Chinese lyrics, and I remembered that 古巨基 (Leo Ku) had sung it in his song "勁歌金曲" (Medley). From that I got the original Chinese version was sung by 鍾鎮濤 (Kenny Bee - which I didn't know was his English stage name ><", it's like Kenny G, but not... I don't know what to make of that...) and eventually found the title for "時の過ぎゆくままに".

Then I also found out there was an ENGLISH version of the song called "4:55 (Part of the Game)", by the Wynners. When I first heard it, I had NO idea it was "Kenny Bee"'s band (wow, I don't think I can say that name seriously, ever. I know that in Chinese they call him 阿B/Ah B, but Kenny Bee... seriously?). But yeah - anyway. I just found that really cool! I know that Cantopop is (or at least was, I don't know about now) heavily influenced by JPop and Japanese songs in general. And I know a lot of different songs were borrowed. But I like finding out stuff like this, making little connections with things I know to Arashi. Hahahaha. (It actually happened to me another time, when I was watching a DnA episode - but that was less awesome since I knew the Chinese song that borrowed off the Japanese song that was played.)

Well if anyone even cares, here are links to the songs I've mentioned, haha:
Japanese Version: 時の過ぎゆくままに - 澤田研二 (Sawada Kenji)
Cantonese Version: 讓一切隨風 - 鍾鎮濤 (aka. Kenny Bee, hahahaha)
English Version: 4:55 (Part of the Game) - The Wynners
